Plinth was founded by Jonathan and Gail Fishman of Baltimore, MD.  We hope to create a truly collaborative design community in which designers of all types and disciplines, professional and amateur, can find, share and learn from each other.  Designers looking for other designers to collaborate with and potential clients looking for designers for specific commissions will be able to use Plinth’s robust data base and search engine to locate designers.  We believe that design, as a visually based medium, should be evaluated on a visual basis.  Therefore, the Plinth gallery and search functions are visually based, using designer’s project images as the first level of information.

Our mission is to make Plinth the principal environment for the design community to find and be found by other designers and clients, a place where designers go to get inspiration, see what is new and join discussion groups, a portal where portfolios can be maintained and be made available for public viewing.
